Seattle, Washington
Welcome to the start of the 2026 SYNCIS Family Adventure! Board the luxurious Norwegian Encore at the Port of Seattle. Get settled into your stateroom and join us for a welcome dinner as we set sail towards the magnificent glaciers of Alaska.
Pick up Instructions
- NCL representatives, wearing yellow vests, are in the Baggage Claim area after 9:00 am.
- If guests are unable to locate a representative, proceed to Baggage 16 (near the windows).
- The 1st motorcoach is scheduled to depart the Airport at 10:00 am on the day of sailing.
Welcome Reception
Group Dinner - Manhattan Dining Room
While we have this area reserved for our group to gather and dine together, you are not obligated to attend every night. Feel free to explore the ship's buffet, other complimentary dining rooms, or Specialty Restaurants depending on your daily schedule and cravings.
- Time Slot: 05:00 PM
- Location: Main Restaurant, Deck 7 - Aft Ship
- Reservation Policy: Dining reservations will only be held up to 15 minutes from the scheduled time.
- Seating Arrangement: Guests will be seated in multiple tables in the same area or close proximity. A Set Menu will be provided for our group.
We want you to be comfortable, but please note that tank tops for men, flip flops, baseball caps, and visors are not permitted. Additionally, jeans that are overly faded, with holes/tears, or worn below the hips are not allowed in main dining rooms.
About At Sea Day
Repeat perfect moments when you sail Norwegian Encore. Experience otherworldly virtual reality at Galaxy Pavilion, join the action at Deal or No Deal and raise the roof at The Choir of Man. Mosey over to Q Texas Smokehouse for finger-licking BBQ and music from a lively band. And end your day with a night cap in The Observation Lounge, as you gaze at the stars through floor-to-ceiling windows.

Juneau has been called “Alaska's peak experience,” certainly due in part to its unparalleled glacier viewing from such places as Tracy Arm Fjord, the Juneau Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Kayak up one of the area's many protected waterways, go flightseeing, tour historic downtown or try your hand at panning for gold. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier lies nearly 12 miles outside Juneau, a trek worthwhile.
Skagway, Alaska
In a single year from 1896 to 1897, this remote town along the Inside Passage grew from a few tents to a city of 20,000 gold seekers. Today, travelers come in search of other riches – to experience yesteryear along Skagway's charming boardwalk lined with buildings that replicate those Gold Rush days.

White Pass Scenic Railway
Skagway, AlaskaHop aboard the vintage White Pass & Yukon Route Railway for an immensely picturesque train ride high into the mountains, following a path blasted out of the rocks in 1898, during the height of the Klondike Gold Rush. As soon as the narrow-gauge train begins its ascent, you will understand why the beloved WP&YR is known as “The Scenic Railway of the World.” The train will climb almost 3,000 feet in just 20 miles and present one breathtaking view after another, from thundering Bridal Veil Falls to the rugged peaks at Inspiration Point. You will also pass over the soaring bridge that spans precipitous Dead Horse Gulch, named for pack animals loaded with prospecting gear that fell to the bottom of the gorge. It will be an exhilarating ride on a railway so ingeniously constructed that it is recognized as an International Historic Civil Engineering Landmark.
- Ride a narrow-gauge train on a route used during the Klondike Gold Rush.
- Climb high into the mountains and behold Alaska’s majestic scenery.
- Admire the ingenious engineering behind the railway’s construction.
- Receive a collectible magazine that details the railway’s history.
- Dress in weather-appropriate clothing (layers are recommended).
- Wear flat comfortable walking shoes.
Glacier Bay (Cruising)
Sail to Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, a United Nations World Heritage Site. Comprised of 3.3 million acres of natural wonders, it is home to magnificent glaciers, snow-capped mountains and abundant birds and wildlife. Take an Alaska cruise to experience the magnificent glaciers and wildlife at the Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve.
Ketchikan (Ward Cove), Alaska
Thanks to its abundant rainfall, Ketchikan is surrounded by some of the world's most lush wilderness. Its Tlingit Indian name, Kach Khanna, means “spread wings of the eagle.” Chances are you'll see one of these magnificent birds perched atop a Sitka tree during your Alaska cruise to Ketchikan (Ward Cove).
Victoria, British Columbia
Roam the spacious lawns of stunning Butchart Gardens with its exotic flora, unusual topiary and exquisite fountains. Explore historic Bastion Square, the treasures of Chinatown and the many sights and sounds to be found along the boardwalk of the Inner Harbour.
Seattle, Washington
Return Shuttle Instructions
NCL representatives, wearing yellow vests, will be positioned outside the terminal as soon as guests disembark. Please look for them for guidance to your designated transportation for your return journey.
Lyft Pass Instruction
For Guests with Flights after 2:00 PM (6/14)The Lyft Pass will be sent to the email address you registered with us. Look for an invitation from Lyft in your inbox.
Open the email and click the link to claim your pass. It will automatically be added to your Lyft app under the 'Payment' or 'Rewards' section.
On 6/14, when you are ready to leave the port, set your destination to the Airport. The pass will be applied automatically to eligible rides.
